Gogo's Crazy Bones are the hot item at the moment. If you're not familiar with them, ask your elementary-aged kids. My daughter told me that "everyone" in her class has them. And they don't just have one, they have plastic jars or collector tins full. If you're wondering what all the fuss is about, they kind of remind me of the marble craze when I was a kid. You play games with Crazy Bones and collect them. There are some rare ones and then there are the super rare ones (only five kinds) and kids have their favourite Crazy Bones. A package comes with three or five Crazy Bones characters plus their trading cards and stickers for the sticker album (sold separately).

Crazy Bones have a tactile quality to them that kids like. They're curved enough on their backs to rest easily on one finger. Each authentic Crazy Bones come with a unique number stamp on its back while its trading card lists the character's strengths and favourite games. Kids can trade Crazy Bones or play games "for keeps" with the winner being able to choose from the loser's Crazy Bones pile (although "playing for keeps" in our house never has a happy ending!).

Crazy Bones has developed five games you can play with the characters. You can read the rules available on their website. The sticker album also has a complete set of rules for each of the games....but really, the kids seemed to know what to do without any adult instruction.

Mastermind sells Series 1 Crazy Bones sticker album, carry bag, collector tins (which come with 10 Crazy Bones), and most importantly both 3 pack and 5 Flow pack sets of Crazy Bones. There are 80 different characters that come in 5 different colours, so collecting can keep kids busy for awhile.

Gogo's Crazy Bones also has an online community where kids can upload videos of their Crazy Bones collections and find out about new games they can play with their collection.
